Dr. Radhika Medipalli was born and raised in Hyderabad, India. After completing medical school, she moved to the USA in 2001 to join her husband in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She did her Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Nephrology at the Medical college of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in the year 2008. During her fellowship, she achieved academic honors in transplant research. Her work in identifying the source of BK Virus infection in kidney transplant recipients through a National Kidney Foundation grant has been well published in transplant literature.
She joined Oklahoma Kidney care in the year 2008. During her work experience, she has served as a Medical Director in outpatient dialysis unit as well as acute dialysis units. She is an active member of the medical executive committee at Mercy Acute Rehabilitation hospital. She has active privileges in Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Mercy AMG long term acute care facility and Mercy Rehab Hospital.
Dr. Medipalli specializes in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, hypertension, glomerulonephritis, post kidney transplant care, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis. She has expertise in acute kidney failure and continuous dialysis therapies in critical illness. Patients and family members will experience compassionate and dedicated care from Dr. Medipalli. She believes that life-style changes are one of the key therapies of Chronic Kidney Disease.
Dr. Medipalli is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She enjoys nurturing her two boys, running marathons, gardening and cooking with her family.
