Kaelin C. Merveldt, MD is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. She completed a post-doctoral residency in Internal Medicine at Rush University in Chicago and then a fellowship in Nephrology also at Rush University in Chicago. She then accepted a position as a Nephrologist at Oklahoma Kidney Care in 2013 where she has been since. Her husband and his family are from Okarche, Oklahoma; which brought them back to the state.
Dr. Merveldt has served at Mercy Hospital as the Chief of Nephrology. She is credentialed and maintains privileges at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma Heart Hospital, AMG Long Term Care Facility at Mercy and Integris Baptist Medical Center.
Dr. Merveldt is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Her practice specializes in the treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease, end stage renal disease and acute renal failure. She works with patients with end stage renal disease to maintain a healthy lifestyle and good quality of life while on dialysis. She provides in-center hemodialysis and home dialysis options as well. She has a special interest in glomerulonephritis associated kidney diseases, especially those associated with lupus.
